Lynn Sommerstad, Children's Ministry Director

As the Director of Children's Ministry at Maple Grove Covenant, it is Lynn's responsibility to work with the many wonderful volunteers to help equip them with all that they need to successfully reach out to the children that attend our church. As a team, the Children's staff and volunteers work together to brainstorm new programming and to continually reevaluate existing programs to be sure that all is running smoothly.

Lynn has been blessed with a wonderful husband, Jeff, and three beautiful young boys. They keep busy doing a variety of activities from swimming and biking to fishing and camping. There is never a dull moment in the Sommerstad house!

It is the mission of Children's Ministry to create and sustain an environment that is safe and enjoyable for kids as they learn more about Jesus and how to walk in His ways.

Lynn loves being a part of a family that truly cares about people! Maple Grove Covenant is a place where the presence of the Lord is evident in the worship, ministries, and faces of those who serve.

Lynn's education includes a BA (Elementary Education K-6th Grade) from Northwestern College with a Bible Major from Northwestern College Master of Arts (Curriculum and Instruction) from St. Mary's University.
