Advance
Preparation

"For
we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God
prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2: 10 |
|
|
|
What
powerful words these are to believers in Christ! Catch the underlined phrase
that states that our God prepared IN ADVANCE works for us to do. What does
that mean to us, the believers in Christ? When we accept Christ as our savior
and we bridge that gap to our God, we are saved. Our names are written in the
book of life! |
|
|
|
But
because we are saved does not mean that our work is done. Paul tells us in
Ephesians that God has prepared (in advance) good works for us to do. Our job
is not finished when we accept Christ as our Savior and Lord. We now are
faced with the realization that we are to be like Christ. |
|
|
|
We
will come before the throne of God and be judged on how we have served our
Lord, the risen king, and receive our just rewards, our crowns as faithful
servants to our God! |
|
|
|
So
what shall we do? We must share the word of salvation to all that haven't
heard the good news of our Savior Jesus Christ! What a testimony it is to see
white roses on the altar of our Lord at our church. We are called to share
the eternal life that we have in Christ to all who do not believe in our
Lord. Our hope is that each of us would be bold in Christ, in His message of
salvation, and be willing to take action. Our work as believers has just
begun. There is much work to do. Be faithful to the body of believers in our
church, our community, and our world. Faithful to proclaim that Jesus Christ
died for our sins so that everyone could come to a personal relationship with
him and our God and receive everlasting life! |
